Johannes Larsen (1867-1961) was a Danish nature painter who focused on painting birds, becoming known as a bird painter, a common genre in Scandinavia.

Johnes Lason was born in 1867 in Kate Mingne, Denmark, Danish, and his father was a businessman. In 1880, Lason studied and studied in Copenhagen from the famous artist Kristian Zahrtmann, and began to learn painting systematically. There he met other painters from Philippines, especially Fritz Syberg and Peter Marius Hansen. Both came from the port of the southern Fort, and the Fynboerne group (Fynboerne) was born. They created an art genre and influenced many Danish and Swedish artists.

In 1898, Johannes Larsen married the painter Alhed Maria Warberg. Between 1901 and 1902, the artist couple built their own home in Møllebacken in Kerteminde, where they lived for the rest of their lives until the age of 94. Their home later became a summer gathering place for many painters, especially young artists from the Zartmann school.
