mso-pagination:none;line-height:150%;">On 26th September 2024, the new media information portal of EUP was officially launched, and the founder of Translation Union, Ms. Zhou Chenjiao, held a kick-off meeting with the active participation of all staff of EUP.
Starting from the glamour of language, EUP has developed from a small and sophisticated translation company to a platform that combines brand communication, foreign investment and high-quality information, and serves as a window for the fusion of Chinese and foreign cultures and economy.
On the new media information portal platform of the EUP, the most attractive part is the column of translation topics. Among them, the topic of Chinese culture reflects the patriotic sense of mission of EUP, letting people from all over the world learn about the profoundness of Chinese culture. Because of culture, love China.
At the meeting, Ms Zhou Chenjiao put forward two missions, of which the first mission is to serve Chinese enterprises to go overseas with high quality, high efficiency and low price, and to open up win-win and mutual benefit values, so that more productive and technical foreign enterprises choose to invest in China. The second mission is to let everyone love overseas culture correctly and carry forward the spirit of nationalism better.
With different perspectives on cultural differences, EUP brings you a comprehensive bilingual portal with interest and industry reports from a small perspective. The columns of Finance EUP, EUP Culture and EUP Express are set up to meet the needs of different users. With the economic development of Chinese enterprises, entrepreneurs have also set their eyes on the world map. In the process of enterprises going overseas, a good brand communication strategy can empower business development, help brands find market positioning and target audience, and achieve better sales and reputation.
The unique appeal of EUP lies in its blend of cross-cultural communication and business development. In this era of globalisation, interculturalism is particularly important. Ms Zhou Chenjiao said, ‘It all comes from past efforts and accumulation. Past accumulation is very important,’ she said. ’She started to receive translation orders from different translation companies when she was a student, and has participated in more than 100 conference and exhibition translation work. In the process, she came into contact with people from different countries, learnt about different cultures and found a quality way to get along with them. She wryly talks about, ‘In the process of doing business with foreigners, the first thing is products and services, and the second thing is to get along and become friends. They prefer linear communication, and euphemisms and subtleties are often confusing.’
The staff of Translation Union also expressed their thoughts. Among them, Ms Zheng Jue from the new media editing department talked about her next working goal: to strive to achieve 20 bilingual news on the new media platform a day. In the direction of originality, we should look for and explore some novel angles and ideas to find the voice of EUP. In the direction of foreign language portals, we should learn more from the experience of some popular portals.
The EUP is not only a wind vane for foreign investment, but also a navigator for Chinese enterprises going overseas, and a window for Chinese and foreign cultural exchanges.
